Today we elect YOU to take time for yourself.
Today is Election Day and all around the country, people are making their way to polling stations to cast their votes and make their voices heard. In this moment, it's important to reflect on the power of choice and how we can take control of our lives in the same way we do in the ballot box.

Today We Make a Decision
When it comes to self-care, it can be easy to fall into the trap of relying on others to make decisions for us. We look to social media for validation, ask friends for advice, or simply do what we think is expected of us. However, just as we elect officials to represent our values, we can also elect to take care of ourselves.
It starts with recognizing our own worth and making choices that align with our needs. This can be as simple as carving out time for self-care activities like exercise, knitting, crocheting, reading, or meditating. It can also mean prioritizing mental health by seeking therapy or engaging in practices like mindfulness. Whatever it may be, taking ownership of our own well-being is the first step in electing ourselves to lead happier, healthier lives.
Of course, this is easier said than done. It's important to acknowledge the systemic barriers that prevent some from being able to make choices about their health. Issues like health care access, poverty, and discrimination can make it difficult to prioritize self-care. That's why it's essential for us to vote not only for ourselves, but for those who may not have the same privilege. We must elect officials who will fight for healthcare, mental health resources, and other crucial initiatives that will empower all people to make choices about their own well-being.
Are You Ready To Make The Change?
As we head to the polls today, let's also take a moment to reflect on how we can take ownership of our own lives. We may not be able to control every aspect of our health, but we can make choices that honor our own needs and promote well-being. Together, we can elect ourselves to lead happier, healthier lives. Are you ready to step up to the plate?
